For the sales office based in Johannesburg, they are currently looking for a Sales Executive Africa.
Mission
You will be in charge of maintaining/developing profitable sales to the mining industry in Africa and optimizing the supply chain process. You will report directly to the Market Manager Mining Industry Africa.
Responsibilities
• Identify and follow up new projects offering sales potential
• Carry out inland supply chain studies for specific projects or countries
• Identify and evaluate various competitive supply chain opportunities, in collaboration with the back-office
• Negotiate sales (volume, price, margin) with mining customers
• Support the Market Manager Mining Industry Africa
• Support and/or lead projects in Africa
• Contribute to enhance the company’s knowledge and visibility among the African mining and logistical communities.
Profil / Compétences:
Experience and competences
• Higher education
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Africa and international “inland” transport/logistics
• Knowledge of the mining industry culture & practices is an asset
• Exposure to sales activities
• Bilingual French/English is a must(written and spoken)
• Commercial flair & instinct
• Experience in international trade & commerce
• At ease with multicultural environments
• Willing to travel for 25 to 40 % of the time across the African continent
• Excellent negotiation skills and entrepreneurship
• Good organization & planning skills.
